With training from NCE, you can begin a career in the medical field where you work directly alongside doctors to help patients in need. NCE offers Medical Assistant training and certification through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Medical Assistants are valuable members of a healthcare team. These healthcare professionals are responsible for both administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Medical Assistants perform an assortment of duties, including routine tasks and procedures such as measuring patients’ vital signs, administering medications and injections, and recording information in medical recordkeeping systems. Administrative duties include greeting patients, updating and filing patients’ medical records, and scheduling appointments. Medical Assistants also act as a patient coordinator by providing a means of communication between patients, doctors and other health care providers.

At NCE, you can train to be a Medical Assistant in as few as 9 months. NCE’s program provides hands-on training from experienced, professional faculty. Students learn to perform basic laboratory procedures, as well as how to assist physicians in medical office examinations. NCE graduates are also prepared to perform administrative duties such as bookkeeping, record management, appointment scheduling, insurance, and medical practice management. Upon completion of the program, NCE graduates are prepared to obtain the National Healthcareer Association Certification from the NHA.
